A picturesque waterfall on the Lal Lal Creek in central Victoria, cascading over basalt rock formations. Best after winter rains when the flow is strongest.
Know before you go
The falls are seasonal and increasingly unreliable — the Moorabool is one of the most heavily extracted river systems in Victoria, and the falls ran dry in 2026. Expect little or no water outside winter and spring. This is a registered Aboriginal place of cultural significance to the Wadawurrung, understood as the home of Bunjil, so treat it accordingly and stay on the tracks. A short sealed path leads through native vegetation to the lookout.
