One of the most spectacular viewpoints in NSW, with expansive views over the Bellinger Valley and the escarpment of New England National Park.
Know before you go
At 1,500m on the edge of the Great Escarpment this is high, cold country and the weather can be extreme and turn without warning — come prepared for it even on a fine morning, and expect cloud to close the view in. The lookout track itself is sealed and takes about 20 minutes. On a clear day you can see 70km out to the Pacific. The park may close in poor weather or on high fire danger days.
