A beautiful cascade in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. A short boardwalk through pristine temperate rainforest leads to the falls.
Know before you go
A short, gentle boardwalk off the Lyell Highway leads to the falls, with interpretation panels along the way covering the ancient rainforest plants — at least seven fern species among them. It is one of Tasmania's 60 Great Short Walks and needs no particular fitness. A Tasmania parks pass is required, and the falls run hardest after rain, which on this coast is most of the time.
