Naturally carved rock pools in the shape of a figure eight on a rock platform in Royal National Park south of Sydney. The pools are filled by ocean waves crashing over the platform creating natural spa-like pools with crystal-clear water. The walk in follows a steep and rugged track through coastal bush with ocean views. Timing with low tide and calm seas is absolutely essential as rogue waves make this dangerous in rough conditions.
Know before you go
Only visit at low tide with a swell below 1 metre. People have been swept off the platform and drowned here. Check conditions and tide times before going. The track is steep and rough.
