An elevated boardwalk winding through the oldest tropical rainforest on Earth where the canopy meets the reef at Cape Tribulation. The ancient Daintree Rainforest has existed continuously for over 135 million years harbouring plants found nowhere else on the planet. Interpretive signs explain the unique ecology while cassowaries may be spotted. The boardwalk is fully accessible making this ancient wonder available to all visitors.

Know before you go

Apply insect repellent generously. Be alert for cassowaries and do not feed wildlife. Roads north of the Daintree River require a ferry crossing.
