Daintree National Park
Far North Queensland · QLD
The worlds oldest continuously surviving tropical rainforest, the Daintree has existed for over 180 million years—predating the Amazon by tens of millions of years. Where the reef meets the rainforest at Cape Tribulation, two UNESCO World Heritage Areas converge. The park shelters rare species found nowhere else on Earth, including the southern cassowary.
