A beautiful alpine walk to a glacially carved cirque lake in the Snowy Mountains. Blue Lake is the deepest glacial lake on the mainland and its waters shift between deep blue and emerald green depending on the light. The surrounding cliffs and scree slopes create a dramatic amphitheatre. The walk passes through alpine herbfields and snow gum woodlands with abundant wildlife including wombats and wallabies.
