A gorge carved through an ancient Devonian reef system in the Kimberley. Home to freshwater crocodiles and Aboriginal rock art.
Know before you go
The park opens for the dry season, roughly May to November; through the wet the roads in are impassable and it closes, often from October to April. Access is by unsealed road and needs a four-wheel drive. Freshwater crocodiles bask on the sand and in the pools along the gorge walk — keep your distance and do not swim. Campground bookings are essential and open up to 180 days ahead for the 1 June to 31 October season.
