National Park
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
Lasseter Highway, Uluru, Yulara NT
At the heart of the Red Centre, this dual World Heritage-listed park is jointly managed by Parks Australia and its Anangu traditional owners. Two great desert landforms anchor it: the vast sandstone monolith of Uluru, and the red domes of Kata Tjuta rising from spinifex plains to the west. Walking tracks circle the base of Uluru and wind through the Valley of the Winds, while sunrise and sunset set the rock shifting through colour. A park pass is required; the gateway town of Yulara sits just outside the boundary.
