A famous fitness walk climbing through lush mountain ash forest in the Dandenong Ranges built as a memorial to the Kokoda Track. The trail ascends over 300 metres through tree ferns and towering eucalypts following a creek gully. Memorial plaques along the way commemorate Australian soldiers who fought on the Kokoda Track. Despite the name there are closer to 1200 steps making it a genuine workout. One of the most popular walks near Melbourne.
