Angkerle Atwatye (Standley Chasm) is a narrow natural chasm in the West MacDonnell Ranges. At midday, sunlight illuminates the towering quartzite walls in brilliant orange and red, creating one of central Australias most photographed moments. The walk follows a rocky creek bed through shaded ghost gums.
