Sphinx Rock Lookout & Walk

A sandstone platform on kunanyi / Mount Wellington, reached by a level track of under three kilometres from The Springs. The name comes from the sculptured cliff face beneath it; from the top the view runs across the dolerite Organ Pipes, over Hobart and the Derwent, and out to Bruny and Betsey islands when the air is clear. No fees, no closing hours, and walking flat enough for most.
