Phillip Island Wildlife Park

Spread over sixty acres of bushland at Cowes on Phillip Island, this park lets visitors wander free-range enclosures to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies and see koalas from raised boardwalks. More than a hundred native species live here — wombats, emus, cassowaries, owls, parrots and birds of prey among them. A family-oriented park roughly ninety minutes from Melbourne, with tickets sold on site.
