A steep but rewarding climb to one of the finest viewpoints in the Cradle Mountain area overlooking Dove Lake and the dramatic dolerite columns of Cradle Mountain. The trail ascends through alpine heath and over exposed rock with chain-assisted sections near the summit. Views from the top reveal the full grandeur of this glacially carved landscape. A challenging but achievable day walk for reasonably fit visitors.
