Kaarta Koomba sits above the Swan River on Whadjuk Noongar country. The Western Australian Botanic Garden within it holds more than 3,000 species of the state's flora, with a working nursery and a conservation research program behind the display beds. Volunteer guides lead free walks at 10am and 1pm daily, departing from outside Aspects. Fraser Avenue's lemon-scented gums are lit after dark. Entry is free, open every day.
