Galvans Gorge

Kimberley · WA

A small but perfectly formed waterfall and swimming hole just off the Gibb River Road making it one of the most accessible gorges in the Kimberley. The falls drop into a deep pool surrounded by pandanus and livistona palms. Aboriginal rock art adorns the cliff face above the falls. An ideal stop for a refreshing swim on a long Kimberley drive.

Know before you go

Short but steep scramble down to the gorge. 4WD required for the Gibb River Road. Be respectful of the Aboriginal rock art. Freshwater crocodiles are present but generally not dangerous.
