Forest Glade Gardens
816 Mount Macedon Road, 3441, Mount Macedon VIC
Terraced across roughly fourteen acres on the southern slopes of Mount Macedon, this cool-climate garden layers formal European avenues, a Japanese garden and bonsai house, shaded woodland beds and a fern gully. Mature exotic trees set the maples ablaze in autumn, while spring brings rhododendrons, azaleas and peonies. Paths and steps wind down through the changing sections, and the elevation and mountain air suit the plantings that give the Macedon Ranges their reputation for great gardens. Open daily to the public, with an admission charge.
