A peaceful walk around a glacially formed lake nestled in ancient rainforest near Cradle Mountain. The circuit passes through stands of King Billy pine some of which are over a thousand years old. The still dark waters of the lake reflect the surrounding peaks on calm days. This is a quieter alternative to the popular Dove Lake with fewer visitors and a more intimate atmosphere.
