Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair

Tasmanias most iconic alpine landscape, where the jagged dolerite peak of Cradle Mountain rises above the still waters of Dove Lake. The park is the northern terminus of the famous Overland Track and home to wombats, pademelons, and Tasmanian devils. Ancient pencil pine forests and button grass plains create a uniquely Tasmanian wilderness.
