Tweed Range Scenic Drive, Border Ranges National Park, Kyogle NSW
Gondwana-era rainforest survives along the crater escarpment northeast of Kyogle in this World Heritage-listed park on the NSW-Queensland border, protecting plants and animals connected to the ancient supercontinent. The Tweed Range Scenic Drive threads through the park, linking lookouts with views of Wollumbin-Mount Warning and the surrounding rainforest. Short tracks branch off the drive: the Palm Forest walking track passes through subtropical rainforest, the Pinnacle walk leads to its namesake lookout, and the Booyong walking track explores more of the forest.
