The southern coastal section of the famous Bibbulmun Track, passing through towering karri forest before reaching the wild Albany coastline.
Know before you go
Campsites have three-sided shelters, rainwater tanks and toilets, but tank water is neither guaranteed nor treated and tanks can run dry over summer — carry water and the means to treat it. Every campsite between Albany and the Shannon River is a no-fire zone year-round with no fireplaces, so you need a fuel stove. Extended walks are strongly discouraged from December to the start of March: if you go out in that window you must be able to self-evacuate in a bushfire, and you should check Emergency WA for fire danger ratings, total fire bans and prescribed burns before and during your walk.
